Parsons Field - From Pasture Land to Community Recreation

Wednesday, October 237:00—8:00 PMCommunity Meeting RoomRye Public Library581 Washington Road., Rye, NH, 03870

Hosted by Rye Historical Society

Presenters: Lew Karabatsos and Alex Herlihy

It started out as pastureland and almost ended up being sold to a developer. Today, it is the center of many town programs and events from 4th of July fireworks and car shows to dog walking and Rye Day. How did we get from then to now? Join us for a history of the evolution of the Parsons Field we know today. Rye Historical Board member, Lew Karabatsos and Town Historian, Alex Herlihy, will use original documents and artifacts to tell the story of our much beloved, community gathering place.

The Rye Historical Society is requesting registration for this program through Eventbrite. You can find the link to their registration here.
