Big Trees of New Hampshire -Friends of RPL program

If you want to learn about the biggest trees in New Hampshire then be sure to go to the presentation at the Rye Public Library, 581 Washington Road, Rye NH on Thursday Nov. 7th at 6:30pm.  Wooden boatbuilder, outdoorsman, and Big Tree Program measurer, Kevin Martin will be showing and discussing these trees as described in his new book Big Trees of Northern New England.  You'll hear how he got involved with finding the trees, how lumber from similar trees is used in his boatbuilding work, and how wildlife use these impressive parts of our landscape.   Learn about trees on NH public land and where they are, so you can take your own big tree tour!  City tours of Portsmouth and Exeter will be described, along with other  NH tree highlights  including some in the Rye area.
